SGP Multi-Pixel Gas Sensors

Sensirion SGP Multi-Pixel Gas Sensors are based on multi-pixel technology that allows the sensor to perceive its surroundings using various receptors that detect the type and concentration of gases. The SGP devices provide detailed and reliable data on key environmental parameters such as humidity (RH), temperature (T), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), particulate matter (PM2.5), and CO₂. This gas sensor integrates four gas sensing elements into a 2.45mm x 2.45mm x 0.9mm DFN package with a fully calibrated air quality output signal. The SGP Multi-Pixel Gas Sensor offers long-term stability absent from traditional metal-oxide gas sensors. This stability provides emerging environmental monitoring possibilities and allows the integration of metal-oxide gas sensors into mobile devices. Mobile devices using these sensors could measure indoor air quality, determine the alcohol content of an individual's breath, or recognize smells.

SGP40 Indoor Air Quality Sensor

Sensirion SGP40 Indoor Air Quality Sensor is an integrated CMOSens® sensor system on a single chip based on a metal-oxide sensor. The sensor provides a humidity-compensated indoor air quality signal via a digital I²C interface. SGP40 uses Sensirion’s MOXSens® Technology, which offers robustness against contamination by siloxanes and results in long-term stability in terms of sensitivity and response time. Using sensing material and micro-hotplate technology, the SGP40 offers a drastic reduction in power consumption, making it suitable for battery-driven applications.
