These actuators are smaller in size than conventional piezoelectric actuators but can produce higher displacements and forces at a low voltage. KEMET Multilayer Piezoelectric Actuators feature 150V_DC maximum driving voltage, ±20% capacitance tolerance, and insulation resistance of 1MΩ or higher. The actuator lineup includes the AE and AER series as resin-coated products and the AHB, ASB, and ASL series, which are metal-sealed to provide better protection against ambient humidity, offering higher performance and an extended operational lifetime.

KEMET AE and AER Multilayer Resin Coated Piezo Actuators are ceramic elements that convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. These actuators are built using a unique element structure design and piezoelectric ceramic materials with high-electrostrictive factors.
